Peter McNicol is such an under-appreciated actor. Brilliant performance the chemistry bitween Peter and the comic genius legend Rowan is amazing and even though Rowan is the key element of the film. Peter does really stand on his own and does it well.

So true. I was expecting someone to say this. This is one of my favourite scenes in the movie, and Peter makes it even more special. Rowan, undoubtedly, holds expertise in his craft, however, Peter is no less. They're at par in this movie.

Peter MacNicol is so underrated. Not only was he the perfect vocal foil to Rowan Atkinson's classic character, he's always been excellent mixing creepy with comedic. Janusz Poha from Ghostbusters 2 is a curiously similar yet distinctly memorable role to Bean Movie, but also sharing screen with the likes of Leslie Nielsen and Mel Brooks in Dracula: Dead and Lovin' It, makes him comedy royalty.

Because this scene carries a very deep meaning. We have all made mistakes in life that we want to fix. At the same time, we are scared that if we don’t fix them, it will hinder on someone else who may be rooting for you or counting on you. We get scared that we could possibly underperform and not live up to our expectations. Bean has showed us that no matter what, you can always fix what you believe to be broken.

I just love the fact that Bean doesn't just draw a random face to replace the damaged paint, he draws her with a comically long nose, which sort of means before he made the speech about Whistler's Mother being ugly he still thought the picture wasn't that great.

A funny friend once had 8:00 on repeat as his ringtone. We were in class and he got a call but he forgot to put it on silent. The split second reaction of his face realizing the holy profanity screaming from his pocket was funny, but he decided to be absolutely hilarious and just pretend that he was trying to turn it off, cursing under his voice and smacking his phone and letting it scream. I can't think of any funnier moments in my life

I just went to the museum in Paris where this is hanging and when I turned the corner and saw it, I gasped, whispered “Mr Bean!” And couldn’t stop laughing. No one else got it. My brother and I would belly laugh over this movie, sooooo good! WHISTLER’S MOTHER
